Yes, the Kitty is back! Fear the Kitty.
Hello Kitty
I’m getting my hopes up now that I haven’t received a call! I know this is totally not a guarantee but I cant help it!
Off topic slightly but our dd fell in love with a boy at home immediately after being accepted to BS. By August she was in tears about going to the BS that she adored in March. We insisted she try BS. At Thanksgiving, she was really wanting to come back home - and by February she was madly in love with her BS and she has never looked back. It’s a process. PS She remains friends with the BF and they may end up at the same college too. Both are now seniors.
Posting just to help future CCers manage expectations. DS1 graduated from Andover in '15. DS2 applied for this admit cycle. We did not receive any communication before decisions came out. DS2 was rejected.
I did not expect an admit, I’ve been around enough to know how competitive it is, and DS2 does not eat standardized tests for lunch like his older brother and sister. I will admit to being a little disappointed for DS2 that he was not waitlisted - he would never have gotten in off the waitlist (Almost no one gets off the Andover waitlist). It stung DS2 quite a bit that both of his older siblings had been admitted to Andover and he could not even get a waitlist.
Wow… That is harsh!
@GMTplus7 It did feel harsh. And it stung the family in more ways than one. DD was admitted last year with 30K in FA and turned Andover down. She is so worried that she hurt her younger brother chances. She is taking it as hard as DS2 is.
