<p>Hey I'm just looking for a little advice. I'm currently about 28 out of 500 in my class, and I'm applying oos to UNC as a reach. All my other credentials are set and will not change, but I am confident that my GPA will change causing my rank to improve by atleast 10 spots by the end of the first semester. What I'm wondering is whether it would be more benficial for me to wait for that updated GPA and rank which would be seen if i applied regular decision, or take my chances with what I have now by applying early action. Thanks in advance!</p>
<p>i'd say early action. i dont think the improved rank would make a huge difference.</p>
<p>If all your other credentials are strong, what little improvement could be acheived (you are already almost top 5%) should make little to no difference in their decision making process. Concentrate on your essays, UNC places a lot of value on them.</p>
