Easier School to get into Human Ecology or Arts and Sciences?

Hey everyone I am a junior and Syracuse is my top choice, my dream school. I visited their last weekend, and had a interview with Carol Roy, who works in the Sports Management Department. I definitely want to apply ED but my GPA is below the average, but has a huge upward trend with a junior year GPA of a 3.7 and next year I am taking 2 AP's (my school only offers 4 AP classes and only for upperclassman. I know that the Sports Management program is competitive but she said that its possible to transfer into different programs. So if I want to guarantee acceptance at Syracuse ED, which school should I apply to? The lady I interviewed with did tell me people get into the Human Ecology School but not the Sports Management program at times.

I have very similar stats except my gpa was lower and I applied to arts and science for psychology and got into human ecology instead. Thus, based on my experience, I would say applying to the college of human ecology might be a better plan. As far as I know, you don't necessarily need to apply for the sports management program as you can transfer into it after a semester as long as you have a high enough gpa, which is what I am planning on doing for psychology.

What were your stats if you don't mind me asking? The 3.7 isn't cumulative its what I have so far junior year, my cumulative GPA will probably be about a 3.2 maybe.

Freshman year I had like a 2.8, sophomore year a 2.1, junior year a 3.3 or 3.4, and senior year like a 3.6 and my sat's were a 2180 overall with R-800 M-630 W-750. I took 3 AP's and 1 honor's class.

in high school i had a 3.5 overall gpa taking only honors and ap classes for the most part with 1160/1600 on the sats and many ec stats. A 3.2 gpa with good sats should get you in.

My SAT's will probably be in the range of DavidB's

youre going to def get in to the arts and sciences school, the sports management program you wont get in most likely. one kid from my grade got in last year and he had amazing stats, heard they accept VERY LIMITED numbers to that program, usually overachieving kids with 95+ avgs and 1300+ SAT grades. anyways im visiting SU tomorrow for the first time in my life, lets see if its as nice as I hear. tty all soon
