Easiest Classes to Get A's in?

Quantitative Modeling in Biology. It was a pretty flawed class. Putting people from 130s together with 150s+ people into a math-based class made for half the class whining about how hard it was and failing every test and half the class sailing through, completely bored. So I can’t entirely blame the pre-meds on that one, even though it was incredibly irritating to listen to them.

I think there is more to college than the classes, and hence there ought be nothing wrong with taking easier classes if one is making productive use of one’s time. I know we’re all UChicago students and such, but there’s nothing wrong with having a life (or doing something with it)

@reversepsych: Yeah, I really disliked that class - which made me feel bad because I really liked dkon. Hopefully it’s extensively re-vamped for next year.
I also for the life of me cannot understand why the bio department can’t require the 3rd quarter of calc & biomath… Considering that physics requires an entire year of calculus and ALL bio majors have to take some physics. And it would probably be more useful than us learning about “taylor series”, etc., in the way that we did…

Yeah, dkon seemed like a good guy. I hope the bio classes next year are better organized.

Any of you willing to throw out some of your fav Core Professors & Instructors?
(particularly looking for SOC Core recommendations, but also PhysSci Core)

Can’t believe you revived my thread from three years ago.
Anyway, for your arts requirement, take TAPS 10100: Drama. Great, fun, interesting class, and especially if you take it with Drew Dir, you’re basically going to get an A for sure.

Dunno about good sosc core and physci classes though…
