easiest courses to fulfill core requirements at columbia college

hey all,

I am a student who is really motivated to be taking the pure mathematics and computer science at columbia college but am not as interested in the humanities literature and humanities. I was wondering if there is any consensus among columbia students about which classes that fulfill the core requirements are easiest to get good grades in with not as much work because i do really want to focus on my math and computer science studies. For example i know the global core it satisfied by taking two classes from this list: http://www.college.columbia.edu/sites/default/files/global_core.pdf

are there any classes on the list which are particularly easy?

thank you all for taking the time to read this post :)

Hahaha are you going to start in september 2014? Also have you been accepted into the college or did at Fu because they do not have as heavy of requirements?

yeah i am going to start in the college in sept 2014. i did college just because i want to study pure math and i didnt think that fu would be suited for that but rather more applied math stuff. That idea could be totally incorrect but it is just what i thought at the time i applied. do u have any ideas about my question / are you going to columbia school right now?

no i am actually also starting in september but was wondering the same thing :P. I am not much of a humanities guy and from what i’ve heard about LITHUM, its going to be a lot of reading and assignments and therefore i too am wondering which cores classes are the easiest and least time consuming (aspiring biochemist, but things change…)
