"Easy" Math/Science Classes to fulfill the Core

I’m very concerned about taking college-level math and science classes to fulfill the core- to be honest, it was the last thing holding me back from committing to BC (other top choice had much more lax distribution requirements). As a very language arts/history driven student, I was wondering if any current/recent students could recommend math or science requirement-fulfilling courses that were best suited for non-math/science students (and, on the flip side, what courses I absolutely should NOT take). Not trying to be lazy- just successful!

Thank you!

Do you attend there now? Doesn’t the university have some sort of professor/class student rating system?

@Daddio3 they do indeed. The PEPs are available through the UGBC website. Word of mouth is still probably the most accurate resource.

@sashaofficial, I would ignore the courses targeted at the majors and go for survey courses in general. I would also say don’t go into the course already figuring it’s going to be a pain. You may be pleasantly surprised. Also, though you’re language arts/history driven, I’ll bet your math SAT score was perfectly respectable so you should be able to handle a science class more easily than you may think.

Applied math: much lighter than AP Stats.

Non-science/math major D is finishing up The Living Earth II 4cr lab course. Didn’t even take LE I. Absolutely no problems. She recommends for fulfilling core.

Thank you all!
