Easiest Major at UCLA

Dear forum,

I was wondering, what is the easiest major at UCLA?
I am not saying this because I want the easy way out, I am saying this because I want a major that I can get A's in with not so much work compared to other majors. I want to focus on my sciences because I want to apply to grad school after and GPA is a big part of that. What do you guys think is the easiest major at UCLA? Please let me know. Thank you in advance.

You want to know the easiest science major at UCLA or overall the easiest major?

In the sciences, I would have to guess maybe the Physical Sciences major within the Life Sciences dept. Overall, maybe World Arts and Cultures in whatever dept it is, because they give out grades in that dept. The problem is, I imagine you’d have to be a pretty good dancer, which you may not be. Maybe some ethnic major in Social Sciences, as these are feel-good, self-empowerment majors. I would guess that maybe sociology would probably be pretty easy as a lot of athletes from the football team major in it, housed also in SS.

I was thinking overall easiest major.
So you would say Sociology?
I hear different things about that major from different people.

Your friends might be right; I’m just forwarding some possibilities. Sociology might require a decent statistical background for majors in it to do population studies, etc, but it’s not going to be heavy duty. Again, a lot of football players major in it.

Oops, should be Physiological Sciences, housed in Life Sciences, not Physical Sciences, which is a very tough department in and of itself. Physical Sciences houses extremely tough majors like physics, biochem, biophysics, chem, math, and there wouldn’t be any easy or easier majors within this dept.

Psychology and Psychobio is easy. I’m a UCLA 4th year neurosci major and have taken psych electives. they’re very very easy. For humanities, I’ve taken only one history class and it was definitely easier than any science class I’ve taken in my 4 years… but it’s only one class so not a great sample size.
