easiest major to get into for northwestern?

I visited northwestern last summer and really want to go there. I dont have an idea of what i want to do in the future as of now (in a way, i think im suitable for almost every field). I have a 2140 SAT and 3.7 unweighted GPA. I was just wondering what are some of the easier majors to get into, because getting in is the only thing that im concerned about right now.

You don't "get into" a major. You get into a school.

Pick a school in which you want to study and major. Northwestern has six undergraduate schools (education, engineering, journalism, music, communications and arts/sciences)

You apply to one of six schools which may or may not ask you to specify a major. For example, if you apply to the School of Communications and do not apply as a Theatre major it is a bit easier; but, if you later decide to become a theatre major, the wait can be longer than one year.
Easier school/major is not the best way to approach Northwestern University, in my opinion. Northwestern is an elite & highly popular school that has the luxury of accepting only one of four applicants. This means that the admissions folks can focus on passion & suitability for each school. In that light, it is to the applicant's advantage to apply to a school, and, possibly, a major, that are of particular and/or demonstrated interest.

The six school are:

Medill School of Journalism
The School of Communications
SESP (The School of Education & Social Policy)
School of Engineering
WCAS (Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences)
The Music School (requires an audition, I think)

education and social policy is the easiest to get into

Another very knowledgeable Northwestern poster wrote that SESP--the School of Education & Social Policy--had the highest average SAT scores for accepted students last year. I don't know if this is accurate, but even if the opposite is true, an applicant still needs to write a compelling & convincing application essay as to why SESP is a match program for him.

does northwestern admit by school, or by the university as a whole? So if I want to do engineering, do I apply to McCormick or to Northwestern? And does anybody have information regarding the acceptance rates by school within the University?

And what if a student wants to transfer once they are there?

-They admit by SCHOOL
-You apply to McCormick
-They don't tend to provide those stats
-Transferring is really easy. You just write a letter to the dean of the school stating your intention. (It's hard to transfer into Medill for obvious reasons.)

those stats must be somewhere... anybody have an idea?

anyone? -

is medill the hardest to get into?
