Easiest major within college of BioSci?

I’m doing the CLS route so I’m only interested in a high GPA while completing all the pre-reqs for CLS programs. I want to take the least amount of units possible in science in order to graduate on time.

The Plant Biology major or EVE major would be your best bet. Both of them offer an A.B. degree that requires fewer units to complete than the B.S. degree. The Plant Biology major requires 75-76 units total for the A.B degree and the EVE major requires 77-81 units for the AB degree. You can see the classes required for both majors here:

Thank you so much for the reply? If you don’t mind, one more question, which major would be closest related to working on a lab bench analyzing body fluids?

Neither of those majors, unfortunately. For that, you would want the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major , but that takes up 106-115 units and a lot of science courses (though 180 units is the amount of units you need in order to graduate).

Licensed CLS here. I think the best major to prepare for the CLS program is Microbiology and a minor in Chemistry. This was my major/minor way too many years ago, but the classes I took were very relevant to the clinical internship I had after I graduated. It is not an easy major, but found it was a great preparation for a career in CLS along with getting the needed laboratory experience.
