^ both of which should be pretty easy

@ThisisMichigan what about the three that I just mentioned?

Psych is a fairly easy major. History and PoliSci if I’m not mistaken are considered two pretty bad majors because they are pretty difficult but the degrees aren’t worth much in comparison to the most useful majors. Basically, the amount of effort/work you put into degree isn’t worth the outcome. But I suppose if it’s really what you want, go for it.

Political Science degree isn’t worth much?

The thing is that it’s not worth much alone as an undergrad degree. It’s almost exclusively a fast track for law school. I personally know nine people who graduated with that degree. One entered a career with that degree, five went to law school, and the other three went back to school to study a different field, essentially to start over. So if you’re set on law school, then go for it. Otherwise, it might be good to rethink that.

@entenduintransit understood. I do wish to go to law school. But would psychology or history be a good choice for law school also? (I know law school doesn’t really care, but it seems that around 60% of law school students have a bachelors in Political Science.

If you are going to law school it doesn’t matter what you major in as an undergrad. You are best off majoring in something that you are interested in.

Anyone know anything about the Screen Arts & Cultures major?

My roommate got his humanities credit out of the way by taking a 300 screen arts class. They just watched movies and tv shows in their “lab” and then wrote about them. Doesn’t seem that hard.

Can someone help understand concentration sheets?

Sure, Matisyahu. What are you having trouble understanding about them?

@Finnlet so it seems like Umich has required courses for a concentration like 10 courses in Psychology. There is also foreign language, quantitative reasoning and ethics. But is the rest just free to choose from any course?

Understand that psych is big on statistics. It’s not just about “easiest” cause stats can actually be difficult, and at least half your credits come from outside the major.

QR can come from Stats 250. You’d need 2 labs. Most take research methods 303 and either survey, advanced lab, or project outreach. You need the intro class and 3 “gateway”, and the rest upper level your choice. Keep in mind that a lot of the upper level requires 230 or 240 completed.

Then like everyone you take foreign language, 30 “distribution” credits and intro writing. That would leave enough for a 2nd or even 3rd major.

@steellord321 I though psych majors only take one stat class.

@steellord321 am I seeing this correctly that these “breadth” classes and intro classes are 4 credits?
