Hello,

I'm a Korean student who chose "East Asian Studies" as possible major(concentration, for harvard students?) I was told by many people that Harvard has quite strong East Asian Studies program. Although I have taken AP Physics and AP Calculus BC, and got an A in the former and B/B+ in the latter, I never really liked math and science. I'm much more into history classes, literature class, language course, etc.

Anyway, if I DO GET IN(which would be very nice... :) ) to big H, East Asian Studies is probably what I'm going to pursue as my concentration. What I'm not entirely certain is how strong is this concentration at Harvard? Compared to that of other top-notch schools? Any research opportunity for undergrads? Would it be possible to have a joint concentration in East Asian Studies and Philosophy? or Econs? or any other majors in general?

If any current Harvard student who knows someone concentrating in East Asian Studies or who IS concnetrating in East Asian Studies could answer these, that'd be great! :)

All best,
