East Carolina University- Admission Question

Hi,
so I submitted my college app to ECU on Oct. 15, it’s my first choice. I currently don’t live in the U.S, but I am a US citizen and a NC resident. It changed my in-state status to out of state, and around that same time (maybe 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago) it changed my supplemental items from 2/2 to 2/3. At first it was, test scores and high school transcript 1 (which they’ve received a long time ago) and now it says, Final high school transcript. Obviously I can’t get that to them until I graduate. My application status still says under review, and hasn’t changed.
Does this mean something? I’ve heard it means you’re accepted but I don’t want to get my hopes up. So does it mean accepted/waitlisted/denied?
Thanks so much.

Why don’t you call them and ask why your status has changed?

You can (generally) only be a NC resident if a) a parent/guardian lives there b) you live there c) you are in the military and NC is your home d) your spouse lives there. Each college determines residency requirements.

When my daughter applied to ECU about four years ago, she had the same thing happen. She got the “final high school transcripts” notice too, and then she received her admission letter shortly after that. I think it is good news for you!!

My daughters application was completed on Oct. 28. When should we expect a decision?

it says 10-15 business days and says if its more than 3 weeks and there is no notice to contact them… should be relatively soon.

Did you receive a letter yet? Did you get in?
