Hey,

Just thought i'd put this discussion out there,
I just got to visit the east coast, so i'm really wondering what the west coast is like in comparison.

Also, what difference in particular does it make for Indians ?

Lastly, how much further is it? My parents are reluctant to let me apply to many West Coast Colleges... they think its a bit too far.

Thanks!

i prefer west coast over any other region. better climate, more scenic and safer cities. difference in distance from India should be negligible.

Sort of depends on where you want to work too. West coast college grads usually work on the west coast, and vice versa.

East coast!! Snow!! Yay :)!!! Really cold, and though I thoroughly enjoy such weather, not many other Indians do. Academics-wise there are top colleges in both the regions. And yeah blue is right about that…I saw this thread on CC where people said a Cornell degree doesn’t count for much in California vs UCLA, UCB that is.

So it’s basically down to the weather. You’re the one going to college. Not your parents. It shouldn’t be up to them to decide.

We’re all about the Cali-forn-ia!

California girls are hot as hell!
