East Wheelock question

Hey there! I was accepted via likely a few weeks ago, and I've been doing some more research on the dorms since then. I love the idea of how East Wheelock is set up, but I saw that the application is due on April 4th. I feel like this may be a bit of a stupid question, but Dartmouth's website was a bit confusingly worded--is the application due date the same for freshmen? Seeing as it includes an essay, it seems like it's cutting it very fine to require all essays to be due just about a week after decisions officially come out...

Dartmouth’s website is often confusing. However, the page with housing deadlines (<a href=“Home | Office of Residential Life”>Home | Office of Residential Life) expressly notes: “Dates listed below are for the Class of 2017. Dates for the Class of 2018 have not yet been confirmed.” I cannot find anything more recent than that. Of course, if you got a likely a few weeks ago, you have hardly been squeezed for time, have you?

No, I haven’t been squeezed for time, and I’ve almost finished my essay–it just confused me because it seems like it would give an unfair advantage to EDers and likelies (and likelies are such a small percentage of the regular decision acceptances). Thanks for the help!

I actually don’t think there are that many spots for first years in the E. Wheelock cluster (I could be wrong and often am), so the college may not view it as a serious issue.
