Has anyone recieved them yet? I saw on the Dartmouth site that if you wish to live in EW you have to mail the application during the last week of May. As of now I have not recieved any info regarding housing, should I call them? Thanks in advance for the help. =p

Don't worry, your east wheelock form will come in your housing application, so you will not be late. You can use the link on the website to start formulating your answers if you want ot get a jump on things. Questions are the same for 09s

Thanks so much!

Can someone recommend a dorm for a freshman who will need to go practice & workout at the fieldhouse? A dorm closeby would be great especially on cold mornings! Our visit was short and we really don't know the names of the dorms. Are we able to request any specifics when filling out the housing paperwork?

Thank you!

If the field house is near the gym or where the football field/track are then I think that East Wheelock, New Hampshire, or the cluster of dorms next to the East Wheelock in that area would be the most logical choice.

Hi Sophiehorse,

The East Wheelock cluster is directly across the street from the Gym. As first year students the only "choice" that you get in the process is applying to East Wheelock or requesting sub-free even at sub free you get no choice of dorms.

As far as proximity to the gym and feildhouses, the Choates and River dorms where it is safe to say that 1/2 of the first years will be housed is on the other side of the campus.

My suggestion would be to toss your hat in the ew ring.

hi i was just wondering which are the best freshmen dorms. i am interested in having lots of fun.. i heard the choates have small rooms etc and the rivers are very far away.. any advice... i am more interested in being in a fun dorm than i having a huge room.. is there any particular dorm in the choates that is better etc..
