Hey guys!! So this is my first time out here and I recently found about about CC, but I think there are numerous individuals here ready to assist anyone possible.

So, I'll be entering the UGS. I'm hoping to secure a high GPA, and transfer into McCombs.

I need some easy elective classes to take, and what are some fun and easy-going UGS classes? Like UGS 202, 303, etc.

I'll have the Economics and Calculus requirements done, and most of the other basic classes the business school requires (hehe AP and ECS).

I was hoping to go right into Business and take upper-level classes or actual Business related classes since I had their basic core done. Oh well, I guess I have to take some elective classes now and just wait to get my real studies going.

One thing I learned at the orientation - it doesn’t matter how much you plan ahead trying to figure out your schedule. Something will happen and the plans will change.

Just 2 examples:
One of our “planned” professors completely disappeared from the schedule and all his classes were assigned to different people or cancelled. It happened in the end of May.

One of UGS classes officially included in FIG was cancelled the very last moment (I believe, last or this week) and replaced with another UGS with absolutely different time slots. Nothing was changed on the website, the counselors told students in person what class would replace the original one.

I would not be surprised to find out that some classes will be cancelled in July or even August. The schedule seems to be VERY tentative.:)

Discuss your plans with your counselor. The counselors are very helpful and will try their best to meet your goals.

I don’t know if this class is still around, but do not take Art, Your Money, and the Nation as your UGS class. If you need an arts credit, History of Rock is pretty easy if you do the reading and listening examples. Definitely try to take some easy science classes to get those credits out of the way.
