my friend is considering joining the TAP Pharmacy program but he is worried that the science courses will average below the 3.0 GPA requirement for pre-pharmacy courses. Anybody if is it possible to get a 3.0 in B.S biology degree with an active social life or does this degree and pharmacy program requires constant studying on the weekends.

BTW which is harder to get a 3.3 in: Biology or Marshall

FYI, the required cumulative GPA for TAP is 3.2.

I've only taken the first year of pre-pharm requirements, and it's definitely possible to have a social life. Can't say about next year though (ochem, molecular bio, etc)

I believe it's an overall of 3.2 and a 2.8 for math and science classes. Don't ask me why it's so low.

I took Bisc 121 and Chem 115a first semester (B+, A), and Bisc 221 and Chem 115b second semester (B,A). My grades aren't that great, but I wasn't as hardcore about studying as my classmates.
