I developed anorexia around my eighth grade year and received treatment freshman through beginning of senior year, and it's truly a part of my life that I feel has developed who I am as a person. However, I've been looking through some of these threads and have seen that a lot of people seem to strongly disagree with the idea of writing about this in a college essay, despite the fact that if it weren't for this experience, I wouldn't be as strong of a person that I am today. I've always had strong grades, except for a dip in my ninth grade year that was not ED related at all. The dip kind of shot my GPA, but I've gotten it back up to a 3.97 with A's and AP classes ever since, and I have a 32 on my ACT. I tried to focus more on how I've learned from my experience, but ever since reading these posts I've been having cold feet about sending it in....any advice?
