Econ 1 with Delong

lol middy is today in 11 hours

Thanks. I almost forgot. And I’m staying up for no reason of course. :K

Everyone prepared? I crammed so much last night…

…no T-T I got under two hours of sleep because of annoying roommates and then me thinking I had appendicitis ; A; Last minute discussion question cramming!!!

lol appendicitis? What the hell.

Yeah…I woke up cuz it hurt really bad…it faded but it’s back now  need to get it checked out…My cousin said that’s how it started for her…but maybe it’s just crossroads killing my stomach haha

But that thing was so effing long(heh)!!!..and ps = 0…poop.

Sigh that was a horrible exam… especially the ps/cs problem… no idea what the hell it was asking for… it was like 1.5x longer than the sample midterm… he’s trolling us. Hopefully I did ok… I might have misinterpreted the bart/earthquake question though err…

Did you guys find the exam hard/easy? Like Calicious, I found ps/cs problems HARD… For the BART question, I said it’s elastic, but I think you could argue on either side as long as you have valid reason??

I think so berkeley… I said it was inelastic to the population that NEED BART to work. Regardless of the price, they still need to use BART b/c if you need to get from Berkeley to SF, using your bicycle is not going to help. And if you have a car in the first place, you wouldn’t be using BART.

Do you think they’ll take points if I didn’t side with ‘elastic’…? I thought it was elastic too, but then I started second guessing and felt like it was stupid if people stopped using BART b/c BART is usually for far-distance transportation…

Well…I think the thing there was that I didn’t fully realize the horizontal line was supply until a few minutes after I turned it it (well, when calculating PS and CS). If I got that right away, it would have been easy…so no, it wasn’t easy xP Mostly because of length…I don’t even know if what I scribbled in the last answer were actual words since I was looking up while writing to make sure they wouldn’t tell me off or something haha

Not from the bay area, huh calicious? hahaha people take BART because it’s easier and cheaper than a car (toll+gas). I really think it’s all based on what you listed as your assumption. They probably care about how you analyze the effects of inelastic and elastic PED, not what you think BART in specific is ;D That being said, I used elastic because people can still take the bus, caltrain, car, or whatever if costs are too high.

Well great, I screwed up that one along with the CS/Ps then… sigh stupid exam. I studied so much for it too -___-…

Nah, like I said, it’s probably all about your reasoning. And I messed that one up too haha I would think it’s not worth too many points? I mean, not very many people outside this area realize how many people use bart. The topic came up in UGBA too when a socal kid said most people get to SF by car for work…and Robinson was like you’re not from here are you?

Lol… I hope :(… for the CS/PS problem they were 7.5 each right? It was one question = 15 pts, but since there were 2 parts, it as 7.5 for a/b right…? I hope it’s that way or I’mma lose a lot of pts if it’s out of 30 -_-!

Well…that’s what I’m hoping xD I was thinking about that too…We’ll find out next week though >.< I’m just hoping people in my section are more stupid than I think they are.

Lol you’re so silly. Everyone seem like a genius -___- lol.

8D haha really? I haven’t come across too many “genius” types tbh…no more than 1-3 in each of my sections. I’ve seen a lot of suck ups though lol I must be lucky ;P

Random, but I saw Delong in Qualcomm today. He was there for the 2 hours I was…but was there before I came and was there when I left…sipping the same little cup of coffee lol

I heard he’s always at Qualcomm. One of the people I know apparently was there was he was finalizing the midterm lol.

Man I’m so worried :(… I hope I get at least an 80% before the curve. With the curve, maybe a B…? Sigh :(!

Aside from the time cutting it pretty close, this midterm definitely wasn’t as bad as it could have been. Not too much from the readings.

Ye I personally thought it was ok. Just there were many multiple-interpretation questions like BART one… And the math for the ps/cs was bizarre lol.

Dang you’re freaking me out now hahaha thinking back…I think I did a lot worse than I initially thought >.< Could barely do half of the last question (half of which probably looked like some other language)…and messed up the ps on both (which I now realize he talked about in lecture! EXACT same case.)…and now I don’t even remember if I went back and answered the questions I saved for later x.X I’m just going to crawl into a corner with my UGBA reader and forget about it for now.
