How hard is Econ 103? I've heard some say it's hard, some say not so. The only stats class I've ever had is Econ 41, got a B+. I'm an Econ major so I don't need it, but I'm taking it as an elective because there aren't many good course choices for Fall (I need only 1 more econ class and I'm done with all major requirements).

For those of you who took it with Finan, how is he as a professor?

I am wondering the same thing. I am taking this, 101, 102 and 121!!!!!! (EAP student: I have to) :(

How can you take 101 AND 102 at the same time? ... And what's EAP?

For the original question, Econometrics is super upper division at some schools... as in, if the class numbers were 100-400 for undergrad, it would be numbered 400 something. I haven't taken it so I wouldn't know, but as long as you have a really good background in stats you should be fine (so I've heard).

It's alright; I dropped 103 and enrolled in 187 instead :)

PoorPluto are you sure about that? It is only labeled Introduction to Econometrics after all.... and its only a 100 paper not a 400 paper. Im doing both 101 and 102 at the same time because i am an EAP student, you are allowed to do that at my home university, so they allow you to do it at UCLA aswell.
