I have always been a huge fan of ND, and now that college searching has begun I was wondering about the different academic programs at ND. How are the Econ/Business departments compared to other national universities? Thanks.</p>
<p>Business at Notre Dame is extremely good. Only few other colleges are better: Ivy's, Stanford, MIT, NYU, and Mich.</p>
<p>That and depending on where you live... ND really draws major attention to you... atleast in Chicago. Around here there are a lot of really rich guys that make a huge deal out of ND..warranted or not it comes in handy. But elsewhere idk how much weight the name holds. Overall though, I've heard great things about their business program.</p>
<p>I am not a big fan of Notre Dame, but its Business program is elite. It is up there with the likes of Georgetown, Wash U. and Emory...and probably has one of the tightest and most influential networks of any university. </p>
<p>Economics at Notre Dame is actually quite weak.</p>
<p>mhawk177 is right about rich ND alums in the Chicago area making a big deal about your alma mater... I know some of them. They're loyal almost to a fault.</p>
