Econ joint majors

I'm thinking of majoring in Econ+Philosophy and minoring in Statistics OR Econ+Stat and Philosophy.

Kaiten - you can view the OR curriculum and requirements here:

2008 - 2009 SEAS Bulletin:Undergraduate Programs

A couple good friends of mine did OR. It's an intellectually rigorous curriculum (not EMS, but straight-up OR certainly is), and you'll encounter smarter people than in the Econ dept, those who know how the real world actually works. Think of OR as applied econ (it's more than that, but that gives the flavor of it). I almost did OR myself, the stochastic modeling and so on was really interesting to me.

thanks for ur response. what do u think the employer perspective would be on an econ-operations research major? i decided to go for it because im pretty good at mathematics and wanted to demonstrate my quantitative side more.

ask each department you think you might join, where each of their graduates last year went to after graduation. it'll tell you a lot about what people there see as being matches for themselves.
