<p>for phd in either finance or econ, it’s econ-math hands down. For wall street, econ-math is broader (in that you’ll be interview-able for more quant roles), but financial econ will have better classes to prepare you for something like investment banking or general business analyst roles. I would try to do econ-math and take corporate finance classes / investing related classed on the side (if you become interested in wall street as many ambitious/greedy columbia students become)</p>
