Quick Question for any Econ students out there. Would it be feasible to take Econ 21 Micro and Econ 22 Macro in the same term considering workload/difficulty of material or should this be avoided at all costs. Thanks!

What year are you going to be?

I’m assuming you’re a '14. My advice, and no doubt the advice of your advisor, will be absolutely not. There is no conceivable reason that you would have to set your schedule up like this, and it would simply cause undue pain. You’ll have a much happier term if you vary your schedule a bit, especially as a freshman.

For 22, the material is easy, but the students in it are competitive. 22 is one of the easiest classes I have taken at Dartmouth. I liked it because it didn’t involve much work, and was an easy A.

For clarification…Not a '14, but a '13 who has taken Econ 1 and 10 already and was looking to double up on Econ in the fall to free up schedule in later terms for other courses…

Let me put it this way. If you are a Rufus Choate scholar or something or if you think that you are smarter than most of the students at Dartmouth, doubling up 21 and 22 would be no problem at all. You won’t even need a easy third class. Just don’t double 26 with any other econ classes.

So you’re saying that after a year of Dartmouth and taking 2 econ courses, the best resource you have for econ course planning is CC?
