Taking Micro and Macro together?

I know that both don't have too much in relation with eachother (unless I'm wrong), so I wanted to know if anyone here thinks it wouldn't be wise of me to take both Micro AND Macro for the spring semester of my freshman year. In the fall I'll be taking "essentials of econ" which is supposed to be preperation for those two...so I'm guessing I'll be OK?

Would anyone be able to offer me advice on the level of difficulty of these courses? I know it's different in every school, and it depends on your professor, but I wanted to see what people think about the content itself. Excessive math or anything?

as of now I'm an Econ major FYI

I took both in high school at the same time at IB level and both areas were pretty easy.

i'd say macro is a little bit more difficult than micro. they're both pretty similar though and it won't be too bad taking them at the same time.

it's possible depending on the difficulty at the school -- mine was pretty easy... never studied for a 93 in macro and a 96/97 in micro. if you're at MIT for example, that may be a different story.
