Has anyone taken this class with Michael Noel before?
According to reviews he's not that great. But in class, he doesn't seem too bad. Though, the reviews say that his lectures are irrelevant to what is on the tests.
Is this true?

I'm not sure if I want to stick with this class. I was planning to finish the 100 series this year though and putting it off will push everything back a quarter (or more) for me.

The midterm won’t be so bad, the final is where he screws everyone. The difficult thing about Noel’s final isn’t the economics material it’s the math. He inserts a ridiculously difficult utility function that’s almost impossible for many to solve. As you know, if you can’t solve step 1 correctly, you can’t solve step 10 correctly either. During my final, I saw young girls crying because they couldn’t do the algebra in step 1. A bunch of people turned in a blank final. I studied my ass off and went to Econ tutor and wound up with a B-. If you stay in this class the main thing to remember is to brush up on your algebra and fill out the final even if your not getting the math right. He gives partial credit if you demonstrate you at least know the steps. Good luck.
