Economics and Mathematics

I really like this major as it allows students to study both concentrations without sacrificing one or the other (i.e. Econ with math concentration) and allows me to double major in Philosophy, thus covering all three of my primary interests.

So far, I've found the program offered at Yale, NYU, and Wesleyan. Is anyone aware of other schools that offer it? They would also need to be of comparable quality.

UChicago has one (which is probably the best). You can just double major in any good school. Why does it have to be a "program" ?

Brown and Colgate both have Mathematical Economics majors, which is effectively a econ major with a math minor rolled into one that can be fulfilled in a few different ways.

Well, yeah, but if I do that, I'll be unable to study Philosophy in-depth as well, which I have become equally interested in.

Gellino - thanks. I just looked at Brown's but didn't know about Colgate.

Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences (MMSS) at Northwestern

http://www.cas.northwestern.edu/mmss/

http://www.cas.northwestern.edu/mmss/current_students/Internship%20Directory.pdf is an impressive list of summer internships obtained by MMSS students in the last couple years.

brand_182, that could a good combo for you, for at least while I was there, philosophy was probably considered Colgate's strongest major.
