Economics courses

I am planning to major in Economics. I will arrive at Stanford having taken Calculus AB (received a 4) and Macroeconomics (5) but did not take the Microeconomics AP examination. Which economics courses should I take, and in what order? I wasn't sure if I should take Economics 1 and whether I should take Economics 50 M, 102 A or Math 42. Any suggestions would be appreciated as to the appropriate first year course pathway.

I also only did only macroeconomics and I was bummed that I didn't get any credit for it. I would've done the micro one as well had I known this but back then I didn't know...

Collegebound, you will need to take Econ 1, which is actually being split next year into 1A and 1B.

With AB credit, you can take Econ 102A.

To take Econ 50 (the econ course after Econ 1), you need to have credit for Multivariable Calculus. This means math through Math 51; Econ 50M, which replaces Math 51, is no longer offered.

After that you can take Econ 51 and Econ 102B. After that Econ 52.

I believe that covers everything in the Econ pre-major core, which should be completed by the end of soph year.

Hope that helps!
