I'm going to a college that is renowned for its business programs. However, I'm not sure what is economics (a very popular major there). All I know so far is that there are two kinds, one that involves math and the other that doesn't. Can somebody please explain that later one to me? Also, is it possible to study it along a history, maybe as a minor? And will that be an acceptable combo for Law school later on?

You should look into the latter one which is a BA in economics, it deals with politics and is more of a social science and it would be a great major for law school. Also, I would minor in history rather than econ because with an econ major you have a higher chance of finding a job than a history major, simply if you decide to not go to law school. Again, you can find jobs with both, but econ is more general and has a slightly upper hand.
