Economics major on West Coast?

Hi,
I am looking for a good school on the west coast that is good in the Economics major. I saw some threads that were from a while back, none to recent. I have a 3.3, so UC Berkeley is out of the question. Thanks for anything.

I’ve heard that UC San Diego has a good/well-ranked graduate economics program, but I don’t know what that means for their undergraduate program: [UC San Diego Department of Economics :: About Us](http://economics.ucsd.edu/about/index.php)

I’m taking my first upper-division economics course this quarter at UCSB (intermediate microeconomics - I’m a Business Economics major), and I’d say I’m getting something out of it. Then again, I’m one of those people who doesn’t see how taking intermediate micro at UCSB using Varian’s “Intermediate Microeconomics” textbook (which I’ve read is a popular one) would differ that much from taking the same course at another university.

I would also like in Mid-West and south, but West would be best (it would be cheaper in the long run)
Thanks Flush, I like UCSD, it is just its really close to my home. I live like 20 minutes from there.

Oh, and I was looking at some other stuff and found this website with a list of links to universities’ economics departments. The rest of the website is interesting too:

Wow, prompt and exactly what i need. Thanks.
