To satisfy the empirical methods part of the economics major, the catalog says students have to complete several courses as a three-quarter sequence (consecutively). Does this mean that the sequence must begin in the autumn? Or, if the courses are offered, would it be possible to begin the sequence in the spring or winter quarters and continue the sequence into the next year?
All of the main options are offered every quarter, so you can start anytime you like. (Hint: At any particular time, there are about 1,000 declared economics majors at UChicago. Courses that all of them have to take tend to be offered every quarter.) Some of the alternatives, however, are only offered once a year, so if you are interested in them you need to pay more attention and maybe plan ahead.
The course catalog is your friend, by the way. Questions like these are answered pretty clearly there.
@JHS thank you so much!
