I know most of you are going to laugh at my college choice, but I'm going to the University of Arizona next year. Anyway, I'm considering doing a major at the Eller School of Management at U of A (it would most likely be marketing) or majoring in economics. My question is what will look better for grad school? Right now I'm leaning towards Economics and I just wanted to know if that would hurt me or not? Also, how much will my college decision hurt me in the application process?

I think whatever would be able to get you the better job. Because you're going to need that work experience before being able to go to get an MBA.

This is a hard question to answer without knowing what grad program you are thinking of and what field you are thinking of entering.

MBA programs take plenty of people that major in either of those two fields. I don't think one would "look better" than the other.

Would you enjoy a more academic or practical undergrad? That is the fundamental difference between the two...

Do you like math more, or do you like schmoozing more?

do both. why not?
