Economics or Political Science

I will begin school at the University of Arizona in the fall, and I am having trouble deciding between majors. I aspire to get into a law school (which ultimatly depends on GPA and LSAT score) and my major will have little impact overall (but it must hold academic value).
I can not decide between becoming an economics major or a political science major.
I have already decided to minor in english, regardless of my major.

The problem is, I have never been an excellent math student. I have trouble grasping the subject, and I fear my inability to comprehend math to the right degree will impact me negatively if I major in Economics. I admire the subject so much. The theories, concepts, and just the overall study of why the economy works the way it does amazes me.

As for political science, I think I could do pretty well at it. But it just doesn't seem as great as majoring in economics.

So, in retrospect, what would be the best choice? Major in econ or poly sci.

Math is a big part of economics. If you will not enjoy it, and do poorly in it, I suggest not choosing it. Honestly, especially for law schools, minors and majors don’t matter, so take what classes you want to take, along with the most flexible major, and enjoy college.

Go with economics, only need to know calculus to grasp the math portion of the major
