Economics

I just wanted to see what economics was like as a whole. How useful would a masters of other advanced degree be? Who are potential employers? What is the work environment and what exactly would the would be? Thanks!

Graduate study in economics relies on a good deal of math and statistics.

Well, the potential employers are anyone and the work environment can be anything. Your economics major won’t determine your job - your skills and interest determine the job. You can major in economics and go to medical school, or work in a think tank, or work for the foreign service, or go to corporate finance, or end up a teacher. So there’s no one “work environment” or set of employers; it depends on what you want to do with your economics degree.
