EC's for Ivy League

Wow. Your life sounds impressive. Ok, I don't suggest trying to fill up all 8 blanks. I remembered Stanford saying that some of the best applicants only had a few things. Rather than doing an 1-2 hours a week at various clubs, pick a your top 4-5. Let's pretend you're into politics (I have no idea what you like).
1. A school related activity related to something you really love. Maybe even start a club like a Jr. Statesmen club or a political awareness organization. I don't really know.
2. Volunteer for something related to this. Maybe for a campaign or at a local headquarters.
3. When in doubt, play a sport.
4. Do a learning-oriented ec. (like National History Day or get involved with debate. This might allow you to win some awards and explore your passion.)

Apply these to drama, math, whatever you're into. And of course you can think of some. I'm sort of babbling.

You said that what you're interested in doesn't transfer well into ECs. Are you sure? Post what your interests are, and I'm sure there will be lots of suggestions on how to turn those interests into meaningful ECs that you'll actually enjoy.

what is your ethnicity? i have a feeling that if you capitalize on your life story esp the Sudan and Australia thing, you have a much better chance at admission.

"what is your ethnicity?"

I'm black/african

"Rather than doing an 1-2 hours a week at various clubs, pick a your top 4-5."

Let's see, here are 4 things that could work .

I could get involved in some sort of research at the university over the summer.

NHS leadership position - which I could get next year.

Community service , non-NHS.

I could fit in a varsity sport of some kind.

Okay, I think I have a good list of things. Thanks everyone for the help!
