I'll be a junior next year and this past year I didn't really do any EC's. Well, I have a job and cc classes, but other than that there's nothing. Terrible, I know, but there were other reasons (and of course I could have made more of an effort, so that doesn't really excuse it). But anyway, I know most people say that starting EC's junior year looks like you're just doing it for colleges. Is there any way to not make it seem like that? Because that is definitely not my motive at all. I just want to be more involved in things after not being involved for the past year or so. And even if it looks kind of weird, I guess it's better than never starting any. So I guess what I'm saying is, if you're really involved and dedicated to something, even if you start late, does it matter that you haven't been doing it all through high school?

if you're not doing it for college admissions, why are you asking lol? :p anyways, um, don't let it looking bad for colleges deter you from doing ECs. After all obviously it's better than nohting

^Lol, I was just wondering how it would seem. Of course I would do it either way.

it's fine to start 'late'.
i got my first leadership position as a junior.
You should be fine. of course its better to have started earlier, but just start as early as possible.
