<p>I heard that CMC deferred like 8 kids last year. But considering how few they defer, I would imagine those 8 spots are for athletes/legacy students that they needed first semester grades for. </p>

<p>I didn’t because I had the chance to interview on campus, and felt that my interview was strong enough to hold its own. For people who did submit videos, what did you do?</p>
<p>@ayetee123 I didnt submit one because I went to interview on campus. And the directions for the videos said that because “you couldnt interview” thats why you should submit. </p>

<p>@ayetee123 I think I screwed up the video…haha but I mostly talked about what I wanted to do later in life and how CMC’s characteristics were going to help me achieve my goal. I’m economics accounting so I wanted to appeal my organization and analytical skills through my speech. I basically wanted to be realistic and not overdo it with things like playing the violin or showing an art piece - it’s an elevator pitch - but in the end, I regret making it too formal. </p>

<p>I think there will be some email or portal notice on Friday. It would be tough to wait out the weekend when so many other schools are announcing this week.</p>

<p>@ayetee123 No, I think there will be online notification on Friday with a concurrent mailing. From what I’ve read here on previous years, ED applicants receive a notice on the day of announcement. That notice advises that the admission decision can be accessed online at a certain time (usually 5 pm PST).</p>

<p>I just spoke with the admissions department. She said we hear back on the 15th. Previous years the announcements were released early because the 15th was on a weekend. Good luck to everyone!</p>
