williams…i was rejected from my dream school…but hopefully smith can see something that UPenn didnt. Smith has become my dreama school; i cant picture me in a different environment. I dont want to think about the very large possibility of rejection, but i understand that it is a very likely senario.

My d. turned down Williams for Smith. Better academics in the areas in which she was interested, better location, better housing situation, better study abroad programs, better advising, less athletics, more diversity, and less drinking. (Financial aid about the same - Smith’s came out a little bit better, but not a decision factor).

I’m a Williams alum. I think she made a GREAT decision.

is she still at smith?

Graduated, and is now a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in musicology/Italian Studies at Princeton. In her year, she was the only one accepted directly from undergrad. They haven’t accepted an Ivy, Williams, or Amherst grad in five years (despite scores of applicants).
