Hi, I was wondering how other than by date, ED 1 differs from ED 2. I know it varies for each school, but is it easier to get in ED1 than ED2? Thanks

I’ve seen that sometimes ED II can be harder because schools only want so much yield from their ED decisions, and they often tend to take up a lot more of that yield with their ED I.

Thanks @CathJR. Are there any top Ed 2 schools that have similar acceptance rates to their ed1?

I honestly have no idea. I’ve just seen some other discussions here and there on this site.

Any difference in acceptance rates may have to do with the fact that hooked applicants such as recruited athletes and legacy applicants apply ED1.

Not usually, but it depends on the school and they will tell you how they differ it they do.
