I sent in one of my ACT scores from Feb and I just took another today. I know I did better on this one, and I know that you can take the tests up to the date, but since the college already has one of my ACT scores will they base their decision on that one since they don't have to wait? I indicated on the common app that I planned to take one in October, so will they know?

Bump, anyone?

Is this for a Rolling admission school? If so they might use the prior test. Call and ask them to wait until they receive this one.

@"Erin’s Dad" It’s Columbia, so no. They indicated on their website that you are allowed to take standardized tests up until November, but I’m not sure this policy was implemented for people who haven’t taken any tests yet, so that they would hold off on reviewing their app until they received their scores.

@ErinsDad Don’t know why quotations were put around that.

If you are applying ED to Columbia then they should get the updated scores, and certainly for RD>
