ED agreement not signed by counselor?

Hi everyone,
I have submitted my ED application and all of the supplements needed through the Common App, however the college still lists the ED agreement as incomplete. I think this is because my counselor overlooked this part when she was filling out my forms - students from the high school I went to almost never apply to universities, so I don't think she really understands the process. Here's the thing, though: I'm not in high school anymore and have very little contact with this counselor. It was quite an ordeal to get her to fill out the school forms in the first place and I can't seem to get in touch with her anymore. What should I do about this? Is it absolutely necessary to have a counselor sign the ED agreement, even if I'm not in high school anymore? Should I just contact the college directly about this?

Thanks in advance!

The counselor’s signature on the ED agreement gives the college the assurance that you’re not applying early to more than one school. They’ll want it signed. Given the circumstances, you should contact the college and explain. Good luck.

Thanks, sherpa. I’ll try calling them tomorrow.

Just thought I’d update here in case anyone else finds this thread with a similar problem. I called the college and they were extremely helpful. I talked to an admissions counselor who said that since I have already graduated from high school, not having a signature from my counselor on the ED agreement shouldn’t be a problem. So I’m not sure it’s the same across all colleges, but at least for this one, you don’t need the counselor component if you’ve already graduated HS :)
