ED and FA

Did anyone of you who EDed and got accepted get a FA package that doesn't meet your need? I was told that ED reduces the chance of getting FA

Who's to say what your need is. . . seems to me there's no definite answer. Most times, the people are like we "need" more aid, and then the college is like, "you want it but we don't think you 'need' it. How much do you 'need' our college?" Ouch, that last question hurts. That's a dangerous weapon. Because then if you're like "How much does your college need me?" You realize, actually, they don't need you. So ED has a bad rep for diminishing aid, but the problem is that you can't prove it because you can't apply to another school of the same type at the same time, and if you get in and get an aid estimate, you can't compare it with any aid at a similar school. Some people are thrilled with the aid and some people aren't.
