ED applicants: Tell us when you got the letter.

<p>college email addresses should come later...</p>

<p>they will be firstinitial/middleinitial/<a href="mailto:completelastname@wm.edu">completelastname@wm.edu</a>.... without the "/" in between. It used to be only the first 4 letters of your last name, but the 2012s were the first ones to get complete last names, and with that, you get to keep your address for life.</p>

<p>after you get your email you can log onto my.wm.edu and start poking around...</p>

<p>congrats to everyone who got in! (and if you didn't get in, you will still find yourself with an awesome college experience, possibly still at WM)</p>

<p>son's stats: 1400/1600, 4.35, governor's school, in-state, 3 sports and p/t job</p>

<p>If i didn't get my letter do you think i will get it today, sorry i can't really take this pressure, i just want to find out.</p>

<p>I already mentioned that I got in but stats are: 3.9,7 IBs (1 SL, rest HL) and 2 APs, 2020 SAT, in-state (NoVA), International DECA competitor twice (top 10), FBLA State competitor and chapter historian, founder/president history honor society, part-time job, 4 other honor societies, key club</p>

<p>My D was denied -- her stats were a bit low and this school was her reach --</p>

<p>GPA 3.1 (actually lower than I thought); SATs 1810 (same, lower); private high school in Richmond, so in state.</p>

<p>Lots of ECs though.</p>

<p>However she received an admissions offer from Longwood University which is looking like a very good option and she may just go with that school rather than keep applying to other schools. </p>

<p>Her friends gave me permission to share this:</p>

<p>Her boyfriend's brother was admitted ED with a 3.4 W GPA/ACT 30/Varsity athlete/scads of ECs, community service stuff (public high school in state)</p>

<p>and her boyfriend's brother's friend was deferred ED with a 3.0 W GPA/2100 SAT/Varsity athlete x 4 yrs; same public high school in state (class of 700)</p>

Intership at a museum doing research and own exhibit
Varsity Lacrosse Cap
lots of community service and ECs
Took the time to visit the school several times and met with profs during the summer
Worked hard on essays
But, still can not believe my eyes....
I am so fortunate...

<p>I didnt realize how selective it is. My boyfriend didnt make it either, and he's a legacy. Both his parents got their Masters in Law there.</p>

<p>I just found out I have mail from W&M. Can't get home for a few hours. What does the envelope look like on rejection? I would think the acceptance envelope is different from rejection.</p>
