ED BU Applicants for 2022

the portal is back up. my message is the same. about to comb through the 2021 forum to see if they shut down the portal before posting decisions.

Hey guys, just have a positive mindset on it

My message is the same too, did anyone’s change after the portal went down and came back up?

okay update they took down the portal last year on the 8th, which was a thursday. descisions came out the following monday at 2 PM.

my money’s on Monday.

I too looked back at the old portal and can clarify that this is true. I bet monday too. right now I believe they are at the final stages of accepting and denying.

OK
My money’s on that I got deferred!

How many people checked out the CGS option still got the Our records message?

@ASavageSeaHorse @verysmallgirl okay thanks!! Yeah probably Monday then AHHH this is so nerve wrecking

M O N D A Y

Anyone wanna be friends? Pm me and we can exchange social medias and talk about bu and such!!! Really hope to see you guys next year

i think I’m going to get deferred, but still hoping that we all get in;)))

By Monday this thread should be about 40 pages of speculation and angst.

i personally applied directly to cgs, and i had a bu admissions councilor come to my school and she said they are most likely going to fill all the fall spots with kids who applied directly to it, so I doubt theyre going to be bumping people down to it this year. @Joezzzzz

@kristamaried That admissions counselor must have been smoking crack.

Heres my only problem with my ED. I applied to three other places, Cornell, UConn, UNC Chapel, and I really want to know if i got into any of those places.

@TomSrOfBoston why? if theyre similar students they’d obviously give it to kids who showed interest over kids who had it as a second choice

@Taylorwicks same! I applied to University of Washington and Syracuse, and those were top 2 schools after BU.

@Taylorwicks Then you should hope that you are denied/deferred ED at BU because you signed an agreement that if accepted ED at BU you MUST immediately withdraw those applications.

@kristamaried Very few students apply directly to CGS.

Just to concur with @TomSrOfBoston , my D applied ED to a school as well. BU, Pitt, Case Western Reserve and Vanderbilt are all other RD applications she got in already. (Case was EA). However, she’s only heard back from Pitt on being admitted. If my D is accepted next week at her ED school, as long as the financial aid package is also given with the decision and it is where it’s supposed to be, she has to withdrawal her other apps even before knowing if she got in or not.
