ED CHANCES to FU SCHOOL

I really need to know if it's worth it to apply early decision to Columbia Engineering. Apparently, the ED acceptance rate for engineering is 46%.

So here are my stats:

GPA - 3.98 unweighted

SAT I - math 800, reading 730, writing 760 (2290)
SAT II - chemistry 690, math IIC 690 (gonna take US History in Oct.)

APs - World History 4
- Calculus BC 4
- English Literature 4
- US History 3 (I won't put that in the application)
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Government
- Spanish

ECs / extra summer stuff
- president of a community service club for 3 years
- varsity singles tennis player for 4 years, captain this year
- Class Congress (ASB) member for 3 years
- national honor society 3 years
- club volleyball
- attended University of Washington Mini-Medical School
- attended two summers of Johns Hopkins Talented Youth Program for accelerated precalculus and chemistry
- church mission trips to Uzbekistan, China, and Turkey
- tutored elementary school kids in math
- church leadership
- 700+ hours of community service

Are you a girl (rachel), because girls still get a bump in engineering. If so, then I think you have a really solid chance.

Yes I'm a girl. Korean. I don't know if that matters or not..

profile looks good. ED will help. Definitely use your essay to emphasize something unique about your personality, character, or experiences. You look like the pool of applicants that they accept from, so stand out a little bit from that group and you'll probably be in.

What exactly is the difference between FU and Columbia College?
