GetTheSmurf- oh my god i feel like we will be instant friends. i love boy meets world!!! (but who doesn’t, really?) YAY INTO THE WOODS! are you in it/teching? and ewww calc; i’m taking it too… **** didn’t do my calc homework… awkward… haha XD

Pantoufle- YEAH theater! dude that’s so intense; though i must say i loathe andrew loyd webber. no real reason, just REALLY not a fan. and YAY FENCING! fencing season is basically my life. i’m not that good or anything, i just ADORE my team and stuffs. what weapon did you fence?

i hope we all get in; you guys seem awesome and i’m excited to meet you!

Oh, that’s Broadway is perhaps the thing I am most excited about in NYC. I love theater, love love love love love, but we barely get shows in Hong Kong, so when I get to NYC, I will live my life at Broadway.

Any movie fanatics here? I am a huge sucker for 40’s h50’s and early 60’s movies.

don’t worry…yesterday and today are barnard’s final reading days/decision days, apparently. according to my college counselor they want to finish up today (she’s been in email correspondence with an admissions officer there because there was an issue with my SAT II scores getting sent from CollegeBoard but now they have them so crisis averted…at least for now…) so they are reading mine today…or read it yesterday when my SAT II scores finally got there…

asdjghfkfdhalsdgha

It’s kind of nervewracking to know that either yesterday or today they made their decision about me…I wasn’t nervous before but idk!!

6 days until letters are sentttt

AdeleZ - BROADWAY! WOOT! I’m uspet how RENT closed down (never got to see it, unless you count the DVD as watching the musical), but there’s SO MANY MORE MUSICALS opening!

sunnysundays - AHH i’ve been playing tetris too. i went up to level 29, then realized it was better at relieving stress than stress balls, then died at level 30.

SIX DAYS!!!
and in those six days, i’m going to write 4 papers, take 2 semester exams, and try to come up with a new recipe for cookies. suggestions, anyone?

Peaches- I’m so happy that you mentioned Rent/also sad! Rent was my favorite, I saw it on Broadway twice… ahhhhh…

Also, I was in Into the Woods sophomore year and I was Milky White. It was horribly fantastic. There are pictures.

SNOW DAY TODAY! All the more reasons to find myself anxious.

Yay Snow Day and Theatre kids YAY!
I fenced with the foil, for a little, but I quit, because I really didn’t have fun or time…this was when I was about 13, so I was also really self-conscious.

I emailed Barnard today to let them know of an addition to my resume, and they emailed me back saying that they added it to my file, and my heart nearly stopped when I read it!

I found this in a post from last year or the year before…
2004 - December 13th (Monday), December 15th was a Wednesday
2006 - December 14th (Thursday), December 15th was a Friday
2007 - December 13th (Thursday), December 15th was a Saturday
2008 - December 11th (Thursday) December 15th was a monday
The first date is the day that the acceptance letters were postmarked… EEK!

in accordance to that data, Friday sounds like a reasonable day for this year, no? Monday = Thursday postmark, Wednesday = Monday postmark…so Tuesday = Friday…I think.

the 11th (Friday) would have been my guess as well-- SO SOON!!

I would say postmarked Saturday.

I don’t think the admissions office is open on Saturday, judging from past threads…
Except for 2006, it seems like they typically mail them two days before they are said to be released/ two days that they are in office before the release date, anyway. My hopeful guess would be Friday the 11th, but for some reason I feel as if the 14th is more likely this year.

Oh, right, my bad. Lol.

Hmm, that’s a toughie. I wonder how many applicants they had this year?

I’d say Saturday too, except isn’t the office closed on Satudays? So they’d probably have to mail it before they leave on Friday.

I’ve been wondering the same thing, too. I wonder if there have been more applicants or less applicants? If less, I wonder if they will admit more…

I totally want to email my admissions counselor and ask, but I don’t think it’s an appropriate question . . . or is it?

Do they usually send out the emails to internationals the same day they mail letters to domestics?

They send emails on the 15th from what I’ve heard.

I want to know the numbers! Ahh, Wej, I’m with you.
Random question to everyone-- how much contact have you had with your admissions officer? I’ve had very little, and I’m sure that’s not a good thing.

Thanks. :)

I’ve had quite a bit of contact, actually. Mostly because all the differences between the two school systems and the fact that I’m one of the first students that my school sends to another country (hopefully I’m going!), so I had to do a lot of checking to make sure that everything got there. And recently, I’ve been in contact with admissions because my two latest SAT tests never arrived for some reason.

Same here. The only reasons I’ve had contact with my admissions officer lady was because of problems with them receiving my November SAT II scores.

Tsk tsk CollegeBoard…
