ED DEferrals that got in?

Has anyone that was deferred ED received an acceptance letter RD?

I was deferred ED, and although I’ve already gotten into Wesleyan (which was my second pick), I still really want to go to Amherst.

Unlike everyone else on this board it seems, I haven’t gotten anything from Amherst in a while and I live in Georgia. I read on another thread that one student from Georgia was already accepted.

I know of of one, actually...a friend of a friend got in after being deferred. legacy tho

I was deferred ED but rejected RD. I'm international though, so I received an email.

I don't start applying until next Fall. Question. I am thinking of applying ED to Amherst. Wesleyan is my second choice, I think. I can't apply to Wesleyan EDII if I apply to Amherst ED? If that is true, I am not sure what my game plan will be. I live in Miami.

I think you can. My friend got rejected from Amherst ED so then she applied to Vassar EDII. Now she's going to Vassar.

You can apply to Amherst ED and then if you are rejected or deferred, you may apply to Wesleyan ED II.

I was deferred ED and accepted RD--with a little help from the softball coach, I think.

I'm not sure if I'm going to go to Amherst, though. I like Carleton and Middlebury as well, and I don't want to rush into anything. There are just so many good schools out there!

Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

You mentioned "a little help from a coach". I was wondering how helpful is it to know certain people. How helpful is a relationship with a Board of Trustee with an eligible candidate? Anyone know?
