ED Deferrals- The end is near

We had a pretty solid group of people that early decision back in Nov/Dec and then we were massacred and kind of disbanded. For those of us that we deferred, I'm happy to say that the end is near. How are you all feeling about Columbia now?
I still love it and if I get in, I will probably go there, but I'll have to think about it. If I get rejected, I'll be hurt, but I've already dealt with the fact that I might go to another school.
Just a few more days. Good luck to everyone, but especially to all the deferees.

Yeah, the being deferred thing totally sucked. All those extra applications to fill out, the drawing out of their decision. It'll especially be bad if things don't swing my way, which is entirely likely. I've gone a long way so far on personality, but we'll see. If I get in, it'd be my dream to go. Otherwise, I have other awesome places awaiting me.

But the whole no, but partly yes, but mostly no thing is totally uncool.

Hey, I wish you guys the best of luck in the RD round. I understand your love for Columbia and it will show through the application. Best of luck and I hope to see all of the deferred CC students on campus in the fall!!

to me it didnt make so much of a difference being deferred... got in to 7/8 so far waiting on another 7....
btw what did all ed defferes do since december vis a vis columbia? I didnt do anything, i had nothing to add to my app... hope that didnt kill any chance i had left...

You applied to 15 schools? There is a thing called narrowing down your search, ya know.

I was deferred ED.

I'm not expecting an acceptance from Columbia. I've been accepted to most of my other schools, so I'm happy about that :) An acceptance wouldn't be a bad thing, though ;)

did u send columbia anything since dec?

I wrote my admissions rep an email saying what I've been involved with in the past few months (Few awards/recognitions, more involvement in ECs) My college counselor also talks to her pretty frequently so he probably took care of any questions she might have had about my application.

Wow....I can't believe the wait will be over on Thursday! We've been waiting to hear from Columbia for about half a year. I know that I've done all that I could to convey my love of Columbia in my application and why I would be great for the school, so if my email Thursday night is a rejection, I'll be able to deal with it. I've already received a few acceptances so whatever happens, happens. Good luck, everyone, it's been a loooooong journey, haha!

hey guys! Hang in there! Just a few more days! good luck from the Cornell board! ^_^
