ED II- Do I have any chances?

<p>Hi guys, I was wondering if it is worth applying ED II Wash U, I know it's long
and thanks in advance for your comments.

*Korean male, came to the US 4.5 years ago. (Permanent resident)
*Senior from Suburban Houston, Texas
*Transfer of school at the end of the Sophomore year from NY to TX killed my class rank 126/650, top 19%
(My counselor will explain this in a letter, hoping it might help.)
GPA: UW~ 3.73/4.0 W~ 4.8/5.7 (only weighted GPA was killed)
Taking the most rigorous classes.
Junior year:
AP United States History: 5
AP Biology: 4
AP English Language: 2 (no comment =p)</p>

<p>Senior year, currently taking:
AP Calc BC, AP US Govt, AP English Lit, AP Psychology, AP Physics,
Spanish III H(also took two years of Italian), Band </p>

<p>SAT: 1460 (710v/750m)
SAT II's:
Math IC: 730
Math IIC: 750
Biology: 650 (will retake)
US History 660
Writing 640 (retook, expecting 700+)</p>

<p>EC:
*Weekly visits to a rehabilitation pavilion: over 100 hrs.
*Band 4 years, marching band won 4th in the Nationals
*Junior Varsity Soccer (9,10)
*Weekly volunteering at the local library, over 100 hrs.
*National Honor Society Member(11,12)
*Junior Engineering Technical Society (11,12) Historian (12)
*Academic Decathlon
*NY State-recognized math awards
*Good Recommendation from Pre-Calc teacher
*National Merit Commended (203)</p>

<p>I know that all of us who haven't yet applied want to know if we have any shot at getting in. But the thing is, most of us kids don't have any better idea than you do. Admissions people can be very capricious. You'd be better off asking the kids who got in what their scores and ECs are.</p>

<p>True, but I'd just like to get some basic ideas as to where I stand among the ED II applicant pool. Lower end or in the middle?</p>

<p>Your scores are within Wash.U. range. If your essays are good, you have a chance. I would not include that AP English score...</p>

<p>Hehe, I'm not going to include any AP scores.. they can't get them unless I send them to Wash U right?</p>

<p>Oh and I got my writing score back and it's 700, if that'll make a diff =p</p>

<p>When you mean a chance, is that considered high or so-so? =p</p>
