Does anyone know when ED 2 applicants start hearing back?
They have started dribbling out. My D got her acceptance by email on Jan 7, and I think there is a post on here from someone who was accepted in the last few days. I think I also saw a deferral.
oh wow okay thank you! i’m still waiting.
Good luck!
@Amkngk Thank you!
My son is still waiting. College of Arts and Sciences. Which school are you applying too? Two kids from his high school heard last week, one acceptance to Falk, the other to Maxwell.
I applied to the School of Education. I’m assuming they’ll do it in waves each week, but no one from my school has heard back yet.
My older daughter is a sophomore in the school of Ed, and loves it. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
Wow, that’s great! I honestly don’t know anyone who goes there, so I haven’t heard much about it. What is her major? Is she able to take classes within the other colleges at SU?
I just got my acceptance! So happy!!!
Congrats! My daughter is an Elementary Ed major. To answer your class question, I’ll be honest—outside of the liberal arts core requirements, there is not a lot of time in her schedule to take other classes. The practicums where they are observing and working in the schools happen from the very first semester, and are quite time consuming. It’s a fantastic way to prepare for being a teacher, but not so great when you want to take that cool video class. I’d say that’s my D’s biggest complaint, that she can’t take a lot of classes “for fun.”
